Southwest Electronic Energy opens new 55,668 square foot, state-of-the-art facility
Missouri City – November 2012 - Southwest Electronic Energy "SWE" selected and acquired a unique 6.5 acre site in Lakeview Business Park to design their new state-of-the-art facility. SWE chose Lakeview Business Park for its distinctive and exceptional natural environment setting on a former 160 acre golf course. They have completed the construction of their new 55,668 square foot, tilt-wall facility on the site.
Their new corporate headquarters was designed to accommodate their administrative, engineering, manufacturing and warehouse requirements. Planning their new facility over the last ten years, SWE has been patient in waiting for the ideal timing to make the right move. Improvement in the oil and gas market and Houston's growing economy motivated SWE in 2011 to make their move from Stafford to their new location in Missouri City.
SWE is a leading manufacturer of lithium ion batteries for a variety of commercial uses. This new state-of-the-art, air conditioned, manufacturing facility has more than doubled their production capacity and equipped them for new growth. The building is comprised of over 10,000 square feet of two-story office and engineering space, 30,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 20,000 square feet of warehouse space.
